Dallas VMUG UserCon

I just wanted to share a few words about my experience at the 2019 Dallas DFW UserCon and wanted to give thanks to everyone involved for providing a great opportunity for so many including myself.

Thank you @MyVMUG, @DFWVMUG and the many people (literally a ton) that helped prepare me for my presentation on Combating Ransomware and none of this would be possible without any of you.

Like with anything, I was super nervous and most of it for no reason. Once the presentation kicked off, it was smooth sailing. I was fortunate to have fellow vCommunity members attend the session and local DFW VMUG members as well. Overall, it was an interactive session that included questions during and after the presentation but my biggest take was how much everyone enjoyed it. I’m eager to receive any feedback from the surveys (good or bad) because there’s always room for improvement.

As I’ve mentioned previously, thank you Rick Vanover, Veeam and my fellow Veeam Vanguards for allowing me to speak on this subject during VeeamON this past May. You opened the door and allowed me to pursue something I would have never imagined and I look forward to many more opportunities moving forward.

Thank you Tim Davis, Jason Shiplett and Wences Michel for allowing me to spend some time with you over the weekend after the UserCon. I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent together including the conversations we had. As I’ve learned from my trip, everything is BIGGER in Dallas!

Finally, the #vCommunity continues to shine! Get involved, you won’t regret it.
