The day began w\ Anthony Spiteri (Senior Global Technologist, Product Strategy, Veeam) providing an update on Veeam including its platform vision moving forward which also included the acquisition made by Insight Partners for $5 billion dollars. This signifies a huge investment in Veeam because Insight Partners have a long-term vision which includes growth in the backup and recovery market share. As a software only company, Veeam passed the $1 billion dollar mark in 2019. Furthermore, Veeam is now officially based and owned in the US. Veeam has established itself in the industry as a reliable solution including top-notch support backed by a community of loyalists and customers that include Veeam Vanguards like myself. If we take a moment to look at trends like positive customer feedback, Insight Partners has complete trust in Veeam.
The three characteristics that sets Veeam apart are Simple, Flexible, and Reliable. Each of these is desirable by their customers and are reflected in positive experience and ROI through their products and customer service using a single platform with their ecosystem of partners.
Cloud Data Management encompasses Backup & Recovery, Cloud Mobility (creating a portable data format that can be recovered into the various virtual environments), Governance & Compliance (including GDPR), Orchestration & Automation (the ability to provide customers repeatable actions which increases efficiency and reduces the likelihood for mistakes made by a manual process), and Monitoring & Analytics (where the data is, how it’s being consumed, what it’s doing and what it actually contains).
