Tech Field Day Extra at VMworld US 2019

Heading into my third VMworld, this will be my first in San Francisco and to be honest I’m very excited about this opportunity. The Moscone Center has been under a tremendous amount of renovation and construction since it last hosted VMworld in 2015. San Francisco is an interesting city with a vast array of diversity, culture including sights and sounds that has always treated me well.

The Tech Field Day presentations at VMworld US 2019 will be available via live stream on TechFieldDay.com. I will be attending the Wednesday sessions and the schedule including times (PST) and sponsors are listed below for your convenience.

Up first is Apstra from 9:15-10:15am. I was first introduced to them at their headquarters during NFD19 and you’ll find more about my visit here. They’ve been a huge supporter of Tech Field Day and I strongly encourage you to take a moment a familiarize yourself with the company and their products.

Next on the schedule to present is NetApp from 10:45-11:45am. This will be my first opportunity to meet with anyone from the organization and I’m eager to hear about their products and services. Fellow Tech Field Day delegates Becky Elliot, Wences Michel, and Matt Lieb will also be there so I’ll most likely lean on them as we prepare for the presentation because they’re all a part of the #NetAppUnited team.

Virtual Instruments will then take the stage from 12:30-1:30pm. Like NetApp, this will be my first opportunity to meet with anyone from the organization. As a first time TFD sponsor, I’m interested to learn more about their monitoring and workload analysis tools, including how they compare to others in the industry.

Our last sponsor of the day from 2-4pm is VMware and they’ve been a TFD sponsor for as long as TFD has been around, 10 years! I’m amazed at how much VMware content is available on TechFieldDay.com, starting with TFD1. Based on the TFD company page for VMware, we should expect VMwareNSX and VMware vSphere to be talking points during the presentation.

I’d like to take a moment to thank our sponsors, Tech Field Day and GestaltIT for allowing me to participate at Tech Field Day Extra at VMworld US 2019. A special thank you to Stephen Foskett and Ken Nalbone including the entire Tech Field Day crew for keeping me in mind.

Please take a moment to subscribe to the Tech Field Day YouTube channel which also includes  the various videos that have been posted from previous Tech Field Day events by PrimeImage Media.
