Before we begin, I’d like to thank the #vCommunity for your continued support! Most of you already know this but I’ll go ahead and remind the audience how powerful your message is. Without you, none of this would be possible. You’ve provided me the hope and motivation to challenge myself in ways I never thought were imaginable. Your positivity has changed my outlook on various levels (personally and professionally) and continues to provide the inspiration I need on a daily basis to excel but it also provides the same support system for others that may be in a similar situation. Each and everyone one of you deserves a round of applause for your efforts. From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of you.
2018 exceeded my expectations!
2019 is going to be EPIC (quoting my good friend Angelo Luciani)
With great joy, I am humbled and excited to announce that I’ve been accepted as a Veeam Vanguard for 2019.
I owe a lot of gratitude to the Veeam Vanguard Team and they include the following (in no particular order):
- Rick W. Vanover (Senior Director, Product Strategy)
- Danny Allan (VP, Product Strategy)
- Niels Engelen (Global Technologist, Product Strategy)
- Anthony Spiteri (Global Technologist, Product Strategy) and fellow #Sneakerhead
- Michael Cade (Global Technologist, Product Strategy)
- David Hill (Global Technologist, Product Strategy)
- Kirsten Stoner (Technical Product Marketing)
- Dmitry Kniazev (Technical Analyst, Product Strategy)
- Andrew Zhelezko (Technical Product Analyst)
I’ve had the pleasure to meet Rick, Anthony and Michael in person and I look forward to meeting everyone else in the near future so I can thank you for this incredible opportunity in person.
A special thanks goes to Melissa Palmer (Product Strategy Technologist) for encouraging me to test my boundaries while learning more about Veeam and its products. She provided the guidance I needed to take the next step but it’s her continued support which many don’t see behind the scenes that sets her apart. I can’t tell you enough how much of a great influence she’s been for me and for the #vCommunity including DC VMUG, which I co-lead with Mammo Tesfaye, Mary Frances Mondo and Nico Stein. My hope and goal is to possibly have Veeam sponsor a DC VMUG event and would be honored if any of the individuals listed above would attend the event as a guest speaker.
Moving forward, I will continue to learn as much as possible about Veeam which includes attending events, webinars and conferences. I will document this journey via blog posts so that it can potentially help others in the #vCommunity.
